That looks like the native cane you see in certain places where you are and Ocala National Forest. I've never found any big enough to make heavy poundage arrows out of. But like hillbilly said, a picture of the whole plant would be better. I'll tell you my secret spot for Jap Arrow bamboo if you don't mind a short road trip? Go north up I-75 to the White Springs exit. Go east across the Suwanee River to the intersection with SR 41. Go straight across the road two blocks and there is vacant lots full of the stuff. It's also all around the Stephen Foster Memorial.
