Some newbie heads pics
« on: June 03, 2009, 02:46:38 pm »
I have been knapping for about two weeks now. I was introduced to it by redwasp. I am having a blast.
I love making bows but right now with all the kid stuff going on I really don't have the time to dedicate to it that I need. But with busting rock, ten minutes here and there I can turn out heads without set up time and the like.
Thanks for looking and please any comments would be appreciated. Good or bad.

My only comment is Keep on busting rocks. For only a couple weeks you are on the right track.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

Well, it looks like you are not having a problem learning the fundamentals. Those look really good, like said, wish my first ones were that good.

Looking good,  I'm at the same point as you, knapping is so addictive. ;D.  I hear you about the kids and lack of time, knapping fits in so much easier than making bows for me too.
