I love YEW! congrats on this one. Good work. It is so easy to work and the grain is honey-colored beatutiful.
I checked a stave (stem) I hauled out of the woods a year ago and its READY!.
Alas, I have to work with some ash which was free and I plan to give the bow to the giver.
Anyway, your yew is bookmarked for June Self BOM.

Hey, Oldbow
I have really been enjoying working with yew lately as well. Question for you... I backed this bow with rawhide, so is it a selfbow, or a backed bow? Everyone else should chime in also. My opinion... it's not a laminate, but it is backed.
