Last point of the week
« on: May 28, 2009, 09:34:41 pm »
I promise, after this one I'll quit clogging up this place.
This was the biggest piece of rock I had. Wonder why it didn't turn into the biggest point ??? ::) ;D
 Anyway, I thought I'd try a Dalton.
I got 'er done and then decided to practice serrating.  Kinda dumb though, I should be practicing that on flakes, instead of finished points.   One side has finer serrations than the other. I'll have to pay more attention next time.

That's a beautiful point Shannon, not fair some folks get a lion's share of talent! ;)

By the way, I'm working on a low weight bow for the daughter of a friend of mine here at work and am putting some fairly small tips on it...inspired by some of your work. Sorry for talking bows on a flintknapping thread, but hope yall will forgive me! :)

Even serrations or not, that is a good looking well made point. Nice work!  I enjoy seeing finely made points, it is motivational.
