Memorial day
« on: May 24, 2009, 07:02:16 pm »
Well, I was watching the opening Ceremony and National Anthem for the Lowes 600, at Charlotte Motor Speedway. And I'll be darn if the camera didn't focus in on a tight face shot of our good buddy, Jesse,(leapingbare).  The 82nd out of Ft. Bragg was part of the event and were being honored.

Jesse, Jimmy, and the rest of our Veterans, I'd like to say, "Thankyou for your service and dedication".

I put this here because I thought Jesse would see it quicker.

Jesse:  Its kind of funny now, but us old 82nd airbornes always called the 101st the "puking buzzards" cause they were always a great challenge as our aggressors when we were practicing war!!!  I never had to do anything worse than "Red Alerts" and threats to jump into Panama and Cuba so don't know how its like to be under real fire!  Please know that there are a lot of us that appreciate the sacrifice and ultimate danger you put your self in for our country.  I salute and respect you!! Thank you to all active military and veterans for your sacrifices! My dad was involved in WWII, and I think that was what he was most proud of was his service to his country!
