Howdy Akila,
Your bow is very nice... It's simple, primitive, yet with a deadly elegance.
The handle is unique, I hope it fits in your hand nicely.
Please tell us more about the raw hide backing. Does it go all the way up the to tips or up to string wrappings. And, does the horn overlays extend to the string wrap 4 inches (10 cm)? If yes, then please explain why you decided to do it that way? (Not that that is a bad thing.)
Ash, I think, is under rated, or under used. I'm working on a pile of Ash that I collected and split a few years ago. I was able to get five or six, large split staves from each of three logs. And now, I'm finding that I can getting more that one bow from most of those staves. I'm really liking the straightness of the Ash wood.
Thanks for sharing,
Canoe
