Bows I've been making, a couple r/d elbs have been added

Haven't put anything here in a while, and will use this thread to show a few bows. A couple are experiments which have worked out quite well, and they will come later, but the first here went to Dan in Ok. He was pleased so I'm showing off his bow Straight ELB style.

73" 70#+@27", and around 80# at 29"-30". This is Dendracalmus bamboo, cut from the neighborhood. It's marked-up from rubbing on the other poles giving it a bit of "character".

Thanks guys, The pics are a little big, but I didn't have enough money to bribe the kid to shrink them.. I had to make a few heavy bows lately, and the time playing waterpolo and swimming in the campus pool has helped me draw these bows much easier again..Kinda miss when I was 40 and these were like toys.

Thanks Danny, Most of the bamboo I harvest is only 2-3" in diameter, but it's a good match for this  slender style of bow. Plus each piece being a little different makes each one look unique, and this is something I value as well..

I think most  archers have a thing for dark skinny bows..

I have a thing for bright yellow bows, but even they turn dark after awhile. Nice work Rich!!

Thanks Keenan, I hope you are feeling good, and moving with some flexibility nowadays. I've been crushed a few times so my spine has much empathy. My kid who has control of my photobucket account wants more allowance so its becoming easier to corral him for putting some pics up..

Here's a couple more ELB style r/d longbows both 69"ntn the black bamboo tri-lam is 62@28", and the green bamboo bow is 71#@29".  Full draw pics a touch fuzzy, think was shaking a little not warmed up yet..Enjoy!
