This is a hickory backed ash reflex deflex bow. It pulls about 60lbs at 29 inches. 68 inches in length.

Finished strung bow, taper on the limbs looks nice from this angle if I do say so myself.

kept it simple with the handle, just rounded it over. Not extremely comfortable, but it makes it easier to put back on the tree.

the lower limb doesn't have the reflex that the upper limb has and that is a bad angle, but at that point I got tired of tillering it so I decided to live with it.

Thanks knightd, I've shot about 200 arrows through it and I haven't seen any compression fractures or whatnot on the ash. So, I am calling it a success haha. We have more bows on the way so I will post pictures if they work, or I will post a picture of a fire and you will know what happened.

Arrow rest and handle, nothing wrong with keeping it simple.

Good looking bow. Hickory backed Ash ought to be a great combination. Bookmarked, too, for April Laminate Bow of the Month participation.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the kind words. I am considering wrapping the handle with something, probably just leather, but I wanted to get some thoughts or other ideas.

Nice and simple, I like it.  Good work and congrats on your first success.  Keep 'em coming.
