Ive got a 58 inch plains style D bow roughed out and am taking the limbs down.Do you tiller them with stiff tips or are they tillered circle of compass also I have a 26 inch draw so would you go with a bow of this length?Any help is appreciated,Dave.

58" is plenty for a 26" draw. I usually leave the tips stiff till I shoot it in, and see how she feels, and adjust from there.

I like circular, but as Dano says you have plenty limb to leave things a bit stiff through the outers. If it seems a bit to rough in the hand you can always take the tips down.

He does? I'd get as much of that thing bending as I could and I would be sure the handle is bending. How wide? What wood? Is it backed? Jawge

I try to do those with less bend toward the tips and the mid section.  58" of osage is plenty of wood.

I would get it all bending as much as possible but that's always hard for me so my tillers end up elliptical. If you make a bend in the handle bow bow stacking is not an issue much so I am not sure why everyone is suggesting stiff tips. On a 58 inch stave you will be drawing to around double draw length by the time you cut nocks. I'm just telling you what I would do considering  my style of shooting. Have fun. :) Jawge
