Does anyone have any experience backing a bow with or using turkey sinew?  You can get several pieces that are about 6 or so inches long per leg. Just curious

Just deer, elk and moose sinew. Seems like a lot of work to acquire enough wild turkey sinew to back a bow where I live. Interesting thought.

If the sinew is made of the same stuff regardless of the animal, I don't see why it couldn't.  Don't take my word for it though, I've never sinew backed a bow.

It'd be a lot thinner and save you the trouble of having to bust it up and shead it, that's for sure. I'd go for it if you think you have enough.
