Thanks fellas!  ;D
I wrapped the handle with raw hide and started the finishing process. I'll post pictures when its done. I think I'm going to change its name to "Two face" instead of franken bow.  ;D

Old rules about splicing seem to have been around for a very long time- even though new glues have gotten alot stronger.

Anyone think that the new glues might be stronger than the old designs? Seems Ryano's beautiful "Two Face" might prove that ;D?

May be a FrankenBow, but definately not ugly.  It looks good to me.  So would it be considered a "Mapple" Bow?

Tracy, I'll probably use something a little less bright colored for turkeys.... :)
That vine maple is stark white but it sure is pretty natural like that.

Kegan, I wrapped the handle in raw hide now so there's no chance it can break at the splice. I think that would be a good fix for any bow with a questionable splice on it. Once the raw hide shrinks down aint nothing going pull apart ever!

Thanks Aosda. Or vine apple? lol.

Chris, the building process isn't over so I can change the name as much as want ! If your nice to me I just might let you shoot ole two face..... ;)

Ryan, I made a bow for a guy a while back and put two different colored snakes skins on it. Called it "By- Polar" Would have been a perfect name for that bow of yours.  ;)  I can't imagine the looks it will get in public? :)

Nice job Ryan ,I have always wondered why they all weren't splice that way, just looks like it would be stronger to me,I am sure there is a reason why it's nominally done that way,but if someone hadn't showed me the other way ,that is how I would have done it. Can't wait to see it finished up. :)
