Knapping for jakes
« on: April 04, 2009, 10:58:28 pm »
Me and Marty Horn put on a lil knpping demo for the NWTF jakes program in Bolivar Mo today. Had a good time and alot of looker, questions and overall "wows". Amazed me at the number of people that couldn't believe that you could actually kill a deer with a stone point? Where is the History?

Anyhow, Marty knocked out a killer dalton, all abo and very thin out of burlington.

I managed a big snyders out of jeff city mat,and a raw texas perdnales.

We added a couple more points to one of Martys cases, and donated it to the program. This lucky kid  had his name drawn and was happy! Amazing thing about this was the kids name was "Blade" ! How cool is that?

Well done Tim and Marty, kids need more exposure to the primitive way :)

Msrty had several of his points there that he had killed deer with, that he had made into necklaces. They were real interested in those.. I had some of my bows there,we had furs, different tools, etc. There were a few that hung around as much as they could. I'll bet ya that those few will follow a different path than most. It was fun.

Man, those are excellent.  I wish I could get them thin like that! 8)  And it sure nice that you donated them, to a good organization, and I am glad that a kid got them. :)
