More Sabine river bacon
« on: March 31, 2009, 06:24:02 pm »
Today was the closer of the hog season on our public lands in east Texas,so my son-in-law,Zach ,and I doubled up our work day yesterday to hunt this morning.About 7:30,we found a small bunch ,and after a short stalk,I got within 15 yards of this pig.I was using my  snakey, osage bow,"she's got legs",50#@26",and a privet shoot with a circular saw blade trade,625 grains.Heart shot, he went 35 yards and crashed. Here's a few pictures. God Bless

Pete:  Great shot!  Those trade points are awsome!  Mike Huston has sold me on how well they work!  Your hunt is what makes us all proud to be "P" archers!  Joe

Congratulations, nice pig. Couldn't place that arrow much better than that, either.

Just can't congratulate you enough. A great hunt and primitive harvest on public land, just don't get any tougher than that. Honorable harvest and awsome gear.     ken

Hi,

Congratulations!  Makes me want barbeque tonight here in SC.  Mind telling me a little about your arrow head...circular saw blade?
