NEW BOW BY WHITEWOODSHUNTER( NEW PICS ADDED
« on: March 26, 2009, 10:20:37 pm »
I recieved this finely crafted sinew and snakeskin backed hichory bow in the mail yesterday... the bow was built custom for me by Whitewoodshunter(Bill Stockdill) my son Josiah already has one of his bows and let me tell you brothers.. these bows shoot.. this one at my draw is about seventy five pounds at 28 and really slams an arrow... I cannot say enough about the bow and hope to harvest another bear with her this spring... Thank you Bill for the gift of a bow .. I look forward to us hunting somewhere soon ... p.s. Yes I missed the bunny in the picture.. totally operator error ;D ;) Hawk

The bow is 60 inches tip to tip and pulls 75 ish at 28.The wood is pignut hickory with two layers of sinew and a bullsnake skin backing. The string is art. sinew.I didn't shoot the bow myself at full draw, because of my shoulder, but I shot it at a 25 inch draw and it shot good, I can only imagine what a guy like Mike can do with it.He will have more details later.

It is.. I just shot it at some pretty far distance.. about fourty yards, and was getting an average of eighteen inches of penetration in a hard packed alfalfa bale..  ;D should be good enough for bears and turkeys this spring, ;D Hawk
