ever see any pink osage?

I have seen it several times very dence wood, this was in a tree I cut this week, I am also doing a build a long selecting a osage and taking it to a blank in one day, I will be in the how to and build a long section this evening ;D
if you can shoot over them , they ain't to far

I've heard of osage darkening by age, but never heard of darkening trees! haha!

I usually only  see pink osage after drinking Uncle Fester's clear elixir.  I have also spotted pink squirrels and elephants.

Never saw any pink colored osage. I've seen some with red streaks and blotches.

never seen pink hedge myself,but its not like i see a lot of it either. lol

i would still use it,but i use every little piece i can,just cause for some of us its hard to get.
heck i even split staves in two,just so i can make more bows from hedge this way.they tend to be little lighter in weight but a  trade off worth while ;D

ifn your afraid to use it i'll take a piece of the pink wood ;)

It does not show its true color in the photo, it is real pink, I dont know If a real man would carry a pink bow ;D

I don't think a real man would care about the pink wood.  The critters could care less as well.

Any critter tastes good with enough butter on it.

Never seen pink in the heart wood, but have seen trees with sapwood that I were a lil pink, maybe strawberry red. :) It was on a tree that was dyeing or was about dead...No sap.

Perty interesting stuff. Looking forward to your how to.

nah, i would use it to make the wife a bow O:)

but i wouldnt have a problem carrying a pink bow in the woods,at the range is a differant thing
