Thebes Point
« on: March 25, 2009, 02:12:43 pm »
This is my first attempt at a Thebes point. It is four inches long and is almost two inches wide. It is Obsidiain. Again, any advice would be helpful. Thanks, JOhn

my wife went ahead and posted these photos for me while i was at work (bless her heart)....but,what i wanted to do on this one was to show more of the notching...i did notching differantly....i used a copper notcher that was shaped like a screwdiver and a small antler billet and punched the notches in....for some this might be nothing new but for me it was and i had a blast learning it...and i think i can do deeper notching using a punch....thanks john

you need to stop posting such pretty points on here!!!   My points look like they were made by dropping a boulder of flint off an 87 story building!
