Jesse's Arrow's
« on: March 23, 2009, 08:24:48 am »
Our buddy Jesse (Leapingbare) got home Saturday morning from Afghanistan. Sure was glad he made it home safely! I had made him some cane arrow's, six from local red river cane, and 7 from tonkin. He put points on four of them yesterday and gave them a try. They were flying like darts! He was really pleased, and so was I. They ought to be good for hunting this fall. Sorry, we didn't think to take any pictures... :)

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

I was impressed by the speed of the tonkin arrows. Where did you find the tonkin, Greg,  I am looking to start making arrows and want to try several materials for shafts.

Thanks for the help Greg. I hope to be in Clarksville this summer working on a self-bow and arrows. I might be calling looking for some help one weekend at the cabin. ;D
