That's a nicely crafted bow. Why did you choose to use horn for the belly for a relatively long bow and short draw?

I saw a build along if a similar bow on Tradgang and really liked the idea of an extremely pressure resistent material for the belly.
This morning I shot the bow for the first time on the range. I don't have access to a crono, so I shot arrows of the same weight and design with the bow above and two osage selfbows of about 65#@28". The boo-yew-buff bow shot about 20yards further.
The otherguys told me, the flight of the arrow feels much faster too.
