Thanks Guys,
i appreciate all the comments, and like i sais i didnt think i was going to be able to get anything out of it but i still had it sitting ther in the conner and then i just picked it up the other day and it felt soo wierd and then i strted to shap a little here and then a little there and then it all just started feeling like maybe i could or should try it and give it a chance...
and well it worked out...
i tell you what that tiller stand sure makes things easier... thats the first bow i make useing a tiller stand... all the other ones i have attempted to make i stood on the string and pulled bow up towards me to look at it, bending over the bow looking at it upside down...
i know the tiller on that ugly thing is far from perect but its best i could do with all the twist and knots that thing has...
the pics dont really show how twisted that thing is, and the bow is really strange and when you pick it up it hold it the limbs and knocks are all twisted and tha knocks dont even really line up but when you pull it to draw the limbs twist and line up
and the darn thing shoots...lol..
it shoots ok for my likings and i have been getting a little partial to it...
i need to get some staves harvested... part reason why i even messed with that ugly thing is that i have no other staves to play with...
might try to make a bow from some mystery wood i picked up that was left overs from a trim at the hardwood mill around the way... but i will take picks of that and post on another thread...
