Thanks guys, I am not too worried about it. Its all part of the learning imo; I'm headin out tomorrow to get some more wood and start my next bow.

By the looks of that long break, i think that wood was bound to break due to grain run-out regardless.

There's definitely more to wood selection then I thought? I had thought my selection was decent..not perfect. But after rereading the tutorial I think my choice wasn't as good as I first thought. Any who I ran out and picked up two more board for my second attempt...we'll see how it goes?

There's info on board  choice on my site. I also recommend a bend inn the handle design for the first board bow. No glued on handles is my advice. I think the bend in the handle design is easier to tiller. Jawge
