Eddie, I've got Pat's stave that I'm working on roughing out today, I'll just send them both together in a couple days when I get Pat's finished laying out, save making two shipments. That'll give you one to lay out and one to tiller.

Mullet Here are some pictures where I am so far.It needs a little more tweeking .I will do that today and get it sent on to Koan sometime this week.It has about 2 in. of backset now but needs a little more propel la taken out and line the handle up a little more.I think 1 more heating will do it.It was pretty bad so most times it takes more than one straightening.

Is anybody here :).I got my part of Mullet's done today and will show some pictures in the morning.I will be sending to Brian
Tues. or wend.It has a couple of longitudinal cracks in it but I filled them with super glue and clamped them for a while, they should be fine since the don't run off, they are right in the middle.Someone had taken the bark off but not the sap wood so I don't know if that did it or it wasn't fully seasoned and when I put the heat to it ,it done it.If I take the bark off I always take sap wood also and seal the back if there is any question.Either way it will be fine.

Wow Pappy you work miracles.I'm the guilty one who took the bark off and left the sapwood.Never had that problem with the high humidity here.I had a problem with bugs in the bark of some mulberry I had so I debarked everything in the shop and sprayed with bug spray.

Here is the list Pappy.
Pat B.
Hillbilly
Mullet
Pappy
Koan
Agbowyer
Bornagainprimitive
Justin Snyder
I guess I cant really call that a stave anymore.  It looks like a bow now.  You inspired me, so I went out and roughed out a mulberry stave last night after the kids went to bed.  I need the practice with my new draw knife before Keenan's stave gets here and I go to hacking away.  :o  Justin

Hey guys, I'm putting together a hog hunt for sometime next month on the shooting and hunting thread. Just checking to see if any of you were interested. I know the bows won't be ready, but thought I'd ask. i could probably set something else up for the circle later if you want. Just can't do it during hunting season.... Chris
