The late Christmas surprise

I had a nice lady who wanted a bow for her husband for Christmas. Well I had several set backs because of work and weather and you name it I just couldn't get it done in time for Christmas. She fully understood but still wanted a bow. She looked at different ones and decided she wanted a Osage selfbow with snake skins. I took it to her yesterday and she told me her husband was very happy with it and shot it yesterday evening. The bow is 68" long. It is 1-1/2" wide at the fades and tapers down to 7/16" wide knocks. It has Praire rattler skins on the back with Gabon Ebony over lay tips. It is pulling 54lbs. at 29". Dean

Looks like a great Valentine present. Bookmarked for February Self Bow of the Month. Any chance of a larger full draw picture?

Thanks guys for all the nice compliments on the bow. And yes I will try and get some bigger pictures on here. Had a heck of a time just getting these pictures on but I think I got it figured out now. I usually don't make my osage selfbows this long but this is the first time I tillered one to 29" so I left it a couple of inches longer than I nornally do. Dean

That is a beauty!! It has it all... self osage, overlays, snakeskins, etc., etc. Your tiller is also spot on. Whoever is getting that should be very thankful!!
