Those are killers, Paul! I love those Hillies. They're harder to make than they look like, aren't they? I've busted several of them too trying to get 'em really thin. Here's the best ones I've turned out so far:

Those are some beauties Steve! and yep their a little harder to work than you'd think trying to get a fairly wide peice thin with percussion. I need to get some more colorful rocks like you have there .

Here's a couple I made a while back,I just like the color on these corals.I have'nt found any coral with this red in it for awhile.

Those are cool Roger - nice points. A lot of the rocks around here will take on a reddish hugh when heat treated, is it not the same for coral? I've only worked one peice of coral but come to think of it, it stayed kinda yellow.

Yeah those are heated,the heat really brings out the color in most corals and makes it easier to work.Hopefully there will be some coral to be had at the Dade City knapp-inn next week.There is alot in that area ,hope the price is reasonable with way things are now not much rock money(might have to sell a couple points to support the habit ,LOL)
