Killer waves-n-grain.

Where is the side view of the braced bow and of course what it looks like drawn.

3 pages of koodoz for showing a tiller challenged staff????

Guess it's cuz it's osage. ;D

My bad it's persimmon. One of my favorite woods.

How does it perform? I made a bow from this wood last year and really liked it. The color of the wood is beautiful.

I'm going to get the braced pics soon. It's performance is average. It's slightly whip ended. I should probably retiller it but I figure why mess with something that is already so beautiful. I'm just proud it even shoots.

nice!  never seen persimmon grow like that in my neck of the woods.  it's usually straight as an arrow.

Same here! I have a couple persimmon trees I thought about starting out with because they're so straight.

That's a beautiful bow.

Cool snake bow dude! I have one nearly as crooked I made from ironwood about 5 years ago. Yours was a lot tougher to make than mine. Congrats!!

Ya its whip tillered, think I would try redoing it, pike it and try to get some wood bending on the inner limbs.

DanaM: Yes, "You took the words right of my mouth", as Meatloaf once sang...
By the way, its so ugly that its already pretty again! Well done in this way, but tiller it out a little more, for make it stay longer!
Which wood is it, Osage?

I like Dana's idea. Get rid of those whip tips and you've got more than just a cool character bow there,I'll bet it becomes a decent shooter. I'm not sure how many bows you've built but I will say you have guts and I like that in a fella. Great job regardless.    Danny

Someday years from now I might tiller it some more but as for now I'm happy! It took three months of slow scraping so I'm not real excited about scraping it more.

Glad to see the pictures.   I would sure like to see an unstrung side profile and a shot of the back. It looks like the tips line up good, how about a shot of the belly while it is strung so I can see how the string tracks  over the handle.
