If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

I am 72" tall. The second bow I ever made was 75". It came in at about 35#@28". This was before I had a scale and I didn't yet know How to judge the weight by feel. Since then, I've chopped it down to 68" and it draws 46#@28". Right now I'm working on a Maple board bow that is 72" long, but that is only because it is a narrow board, and it doesn't have the greatest grain orientation.

The first bow I ever made was 65" ntn. Most since have been from 56"-62". I shoot something around 62" best. I think that's a good compromise, not too short for a 27" draw, yet not so long that it's cumbersome.
Be thankfull for all you have, because no matter how bad you think it is...it can always be worse.

I'm 72( Math) inches long and my bows always end up stuck at 68" I guess I'm obsessed with the number 68.

Yes Frank, 12" is a foot.  I am 6'3" tall, or 190.5cm if you prefer.  ;) Justin
