First Osage ( full draw added )

This is my first time using Osage, I have to say it was very nice to work with and shoots a heck of an arrow !
66 ntn 50#@28" Jute handle wrap with clear poly over it, Purple Heart tip over lays and Tung oil for a finish.






Full draw to follow soon  :D  Bow blank from Yazoo, Thanks Mike  ;D

Here's a couple more pictures. The first one is of the tips prurple heart and then the money shot !

Standing on the table to take pictures aye ? lol.  :D I'd be lying if I said I never done that before. "Osage really is better."  ;D
Nice looking bow. Looks like it took quite a bit of set though, are you sure it was dry enough? The tiller looks pretty good.

Thanks everyone for the nice coments. The bow took about 2 1/2 "'s of set. I can deal with that ! It shoots hard and where i look so thats all that matters to me  :)

I should have a full draw next week, I'm off to the Ice Caves on lake Superior today see you all Monday  ;D

hey john, i wold be willing to bet the set came from the wood not being dry enough.
 i too have a a stave that i traded yazoo for. beautiful piece of hedge,althopough i thought it felt heavy when i got mine so its been sitting
with the rest of the wood since then.it does llok to be a dense piece of wood but i thought i would let it sit for the winter and give it a go
come summer. i am in the same climate conditions as you(mn) so i'll let ya know how it turns out in the summer and if it lost any weight by then.

how wide is your bow at the fades and the tips?
