Partial skinning

Does anyone do a partial coverage of bow limbs with snakeskins either for esthetics or due to shorter snakes?

I haven't done any but ParB and GregB just mention a few do them that way a lot and they look great. The usually just do a little thread rap at the end of the skin and it looks nice.

I've done it with birch bark.

Here are a few I have done. I prefer to do it this way whether the skins are long enough or not. It causes less wear on the string when bracing and unbracing.

Be thankfull for all you have, because no matter how bad you think it is...it can always be worse.
