A plain old flatbow

Finished another Norway Maple bow yesterday. The tiller changed a bit with sanding and shooting in but I'm fairly satisfied with it. It's 65" long, 30-40# at 28" of draw with 1.5" of just unbraced set. I heat treated the stave after floor tillering without inducing any reflex because I hate bracing a reflexed bow.
I'm still figuring out which limb should be the top/bottom one.

looks real good to me. in the pic that your shooting at the ceiling, i think you shoul dreverse the limbs, make the top limb, the bottom limb. but thats just my opinion. looks like the top limb is bending just a tad more.- Ryan

Congratulations, That has some nice character. As far witch for top or bottom it looks like the tiller is better in the full draw pic where you are shooting upward. That may be from the bow being better suited with the stronger liomb down. As a rule of thumb your strong limb should be down.

I'll try shooting some more with the stronger limb down. As for it having a bit of character: this is was one of my nice straight staves...
