I'll join ya! We should make an event out of this the first one to drink the most and make the most points before falling into the debutage wins!  ;D

Tripper, if the bottle bottoms are not flat, just be sure to push all your flakes off the concave side until you get both sides convex, and you can get pretty good points from rounded bottoms.

Man oh man! Women must think we are so simple.  Give us an old Clorox bottle and we are tickled pink!  (Sigh!) If it was just so simple the other way around! Imagine: "Hi Honey! You wont believe what I found!!! A box of diapers and some dish washing detergent!!!!"

I know all of you can imagine the response!!!  ;) ;D ;D ;D

Sweet Jimminy, those are cool.  Do you pop the bottom off those things like you do a beer (Root Beer for me) bottle with really big nails?  ;D

I haven't been knapping much lately.  So I had a beer at dinner, popped the bottom off, and went out to my cave to knapp this point.   It took me a longer than normal cause I'm a bit out of practice.   However, I enjoyed the time by myself focusing on the task.

ok so i am very new to knapping, but i gotta ask.
arent those bottles old and worth a few bucks.
i know my step dad used to find old glass bottles when they tore up alleys,(he wroked for the city)and some of them old bottles were worth a few bucks.
i would think old clorox bottles might be worth a little,i aint exactly young, but i dont ever remember seeing clorox coming in glass, only plastic.
just curious.
i always wanted a harley, untill it became the "thing to ride"
i ride because i love to,not to be part of the crowd

Sailordad, I think they stopped putting Clorox in glass in the late 50's. As far as the value,  they're worth more to me as a point than they are as a jug.  That is unless it's full of white likker ;D
You can find them around here fairly easy.  I live in dairy country and those old dairy farms used a lot of bleach.  Back in the day, most farmers just dumped their trash in a pile out in the woods.  If you know where to look you can find several of them.  I bought these for $1 each at a yard sale.
