New elm bow
«
on:

Thought I would post this here,
its a Knotty elm bow, it is 70"ntn and pulls around 45# .I do not know which species of elm it is yet but it was cut locally. It is 1 1/2" at the fades and tapers from around mid limb. As you can see there were a couple of knots on one limb, she raised a splinter near a knot which I wrapped with string and glue. Holding fine.
Thanks for looking
Noel

It looks like a good job on the bow, but better pictures would help a lot.

Censu, awesome tiller. That limb is full of knots too. I don't know if you could have this with that bow but when tillering knotted areas I like to leave the knots slightly "flat" so as they don't bend much. Jawge

Thanks for the comments guys, glad you like it, this was my most challenging piece of wood yet, but it is a great shooter.

How long did it take to get the tree to grow like that? That's fine...! I can see why you decorated it so nice.
