john, the scales are cocobola with heartwood and sapwood.  the holes in the sapwood were made by worms, i think they add a little character to a knife.  wish i had more of that wood.  the steel is 154CM.  imo, one of the best knife steels out there.

Top craftmanship made by everyone.
I`ve received a letter today that there is something waiting for me at the customs bureau. I`ll pick it up tomorrow...

Well I got sent Home Early today....so I could come back at 7 tonight to start working Nights on an Emergency Job....so I swung by the Post Office on the way Home....and there was a Package from Mark Baggett......So I could hardly wait to get Home to Open It Up!! I got as far as the Garage and a Box Knife.....and peeled it open to find the Hawk that Pappy made back in November....It's a little Bodark Handled Flint Hawk with Deer Rawhide Lacing and Coyote Canines ..... Turkey Spurs ....and Deer Antler Tips on the Rawhide Lanyard...and a Turkey Beard on the Top....and Pappy Says that all of these were from Hunts of His....so this Hawk has ("manidooke") Strong Spiritual Powers...and will be carried with Me in My Bandolier Bag on all Hunts as a Talisman of good Luck.....Thank You pappy!

And Dana....You will have to wait a Bit for the High Resolution Picture....I have a Good One in Mind!!!

Really nice hawk you have there.  When i scrolled down to see it, at first glance, I thought you had an arrow through the top of your head.

OK.  I finally got a couple of pics for ya.  Here is madcrowjr with his new osage bow.  Dyed brown with a cord wrapped handle and some really skinny tips.  I almost swallowed my dip when he opened it up.  It flings arras real good.

Here is one after his first shot, you can see the bow a little better.

That hawk looks like some great craftsmanship and the bow as well. Good job guys. Glad to see people really put some time into it.
