The secret to hitting your desired weight is going very, very, very, very,very slowly. Scrape, then exercise the bow a dozen or better yet a dozen and a half pulls. Then scrape slowly, exercise, then scrape slowly, exercise. Did I mention go slowly? Going slowly is the big secret. If you rush it, I can promise you will have a bow much lighter than you wanted.
