I did try a reverse handle riser a few years ago.  All that does is exagerate the deflex in the handle and you can do the same thing by glueing in more deflex in the handle.  The more deflex the longer draw you can get for a given length of bow.

Reflex deflex bows have never been my cup of tea, but this one makes my head turn. I especially like the braced and full draw pictures.

Bows like this are a lot of work but if you like speed and a short package then they are the way to go

Depending on one's draw and style to shoot. I would assume that a gull winged bow would deliver an arrow as fast as that kind of a bow, if bakced with sinew and tillered properly. surely that kind of a bow would not have the same draw lenght, but for those with a short draw like mine.
